We are proud to be part of this inclusive and unique research. Why unique? Because the research was conducted among refugees and by researchers with a refugee background. We investigated how people with a refugee background experience their wishes regarding children and what they think about contraception and abortion. We asked how they deal with different cultural norms and what support they need from professionals.
The research publication was released yesterday during the conference. The chairman of the day discussed with participants what it takes to conduct research within cultural diversity. How do you create policy around cultural sensitivity? How do you work with interpreters? And how can the various organizations that provide services to migrants work together better?
