The 24 cultural mediators/connectors from area Achterhoek received their certificate and beautiful profiles from the Alderman Betsy Wormgoor.

During the intensive training, the cultural mediators gained insights and learned new professional skills from experts in the field, but also from each other.

They attended trainings in the areas of:

➡️ Mental health (its signs and the path to assistance)
➡️ Work & income in connection with the P-law
➡️ Employee skills
➡️ Domestic violence & child abuse (its signs and the path to assistance)
➡️ The new integration law of 2022
➡️ Guidance from Status holders

We are very proud of these great guys and wish them all the best and success in this wonderful profession as #bridgebuilders.

In the near future, in the 3rd phase of the project, we will continue to make these trained professionals visible by, for example, organizing Network meetings for employers and organizations in the Achterhoek region. We will share best practices and initiatives in the country while discussing the possibilities for paid employment.

With great thanks to all Achterhoek municipalities who contributed to this pilot!
